What You Should Know Before Your Trip To 30A

1. Have Access To Bikes

Most rental homes include free access to their bikes, but if not, make sure you bring or rent some. Most roads are one lane and can be very frustrating, so biking ends up being the faster option anyway. The sidewalks are very wide to account for bikers and close to buildings to ensure a beautiful ride. And not having to worry about the limited parking is an additional bonus. Book your stay in the rental we love: https://sandpipervacationrentals.com/vacation_rentals/sandy-bottoms-2/

2. Charlie’s Donut Truck

These just might be the best donuts I have ever had! There is a food truck in Alys Beach that is the cutest place to buy Charlie’s donuts. It opens at 6:30am until they sell out, so if you want any sort of selection, I advise getting there before 7:30. Another place to acquire these heaven sent pastries is The Daughters Kitchen in Rosemary Beach, but who doesn’t want breakfast from a blue truck??

3. Named Areas Are The Most Expensive

Locations such as Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, and Seacrest Beach are all super cute areas that offer tons of dining options, shopping areas, and picture spots. Your first instinct is to stay in these areas, but unless your goal is to drain your bank account, PROCEED WITH CAUTION. The layout of these areas are enticing for a reason: tourists. There is no easier place to justify high prices than on vacation, and these kinds of places are well aware of that. There are some hidden gems, and some are worth the money. But my main advice would be to review the places you plan on dining to ensure your money is well spent.

4. Don’t Plan To Groceries Shop More Than 1 Time

If crazytown had a capital, it's the Publix in 30A. Other markets are more tranquill than others, but none are calm by any means. This is because it is centrally a tourist destination, so obviously people shop for their necessities to keep in their lodging during their stay. Some find it exciting but as a person who appreciates order, I find the process extremely stressful. So send your bravest out for the necessities at the beginning of your trip and do your best to make it last to avoid any additional stress to your trip.

5. Playa Bowls

One of the trendiest places in Rosemary beach! It is the cutest little tropical cafe that offers juices, acai bowls, and coconut bowls. So if you want a refreshing pick me up to beat the heat, this is your stop!

6. Watch The Sunset On The Beach

Obviously, you will be on the west coast of Florida, making it the best kind of place for sunsets. You may initially reason out of it to extend your dinner or activity, but make sure to catch it at least once before you leave. It is an atmosphere you will find truly restorative and utterly sublime, I know I did.

7. Claim Your Beach Spot Early

This is an incredible vacation destination, no doubt about it. But because this is becoming such a popular fact, these iconic locations are becoming more and more crowded. I have been vacationing to 30A for almost ten years and please learn from my experience: if you want to set up camp next to the water, set up your umbrellas and chairs EARLY or send someone in your group to.

*I had the honor of having the best chair setter upper every year. He always woke up early to make sure everyone was accommodated for, and always with a smile on his face. Our boat captain, dj, and walking example of patience; you are dearly missed and even more loved. See you soon<3
