My Favorite Things To Do In Anna Maria Island

Spend endless hours at the beach

The beauty that the west coast of Florida holds is nearly impossible to miss! Anna Maria Island is the long, thin region that parallels Tampa Bay and contains an endless amount of beautiful vacation spots. Visiting the island, it can become overwhelming when it comes to choosing which beach to spend your time. Therefore, I have included my top three beach access points in the area.

  • Bean point beach

  • Holmes beach

  • Cortez beach

Try the local sweet treats

What vacation is complete without desserts? Although I don't discriminate, there are a few places that you MUST visit on your trip. My two favorite stops are both equally unique and delicious! (I will list them below) So whether you are in the mood for sweet or savory, you are bound to find the perfect option nearby.

  • Island scoops AMI

  • The Donut experiment

Explore the unique districts

Obviously the beach is a must, but there are some other cool places that are worth visiting during your time on the island. If you are looking for a cute, touristy area with beachy shops and local restaurants than check out Bridge Street Pier for a true island evening. Also, 10th Street N is an adorable row of colorful townhouses, great for pictures!

  • 10th Street N

  • Bridge Street Pier

Eat at delicious restaurants

One of my favorite parts of this area is the MULTITUDE of amazing restaurants around every corner! You can find seafood, barbecue, burgers, and every other option on the island. Though I have listed some of my favorites, you really can’t go wrong!

  • Mean Deans Local Kitchen

  • North Shore Cafe

  • Anna Maria Oyster Bar

  • Island Time Bar and Grill
